This was written to better inform the unaware of the true value and nature of CLOUDS.

Emotions are like fleeting clouds.
One observes their beauty
As they come and go.

Yesterday's words are like the clouds.
One observes their impact
As they come and go.

To say, “I love you” is like the clouds.
Said when one thinks of
"greatest gratitude, affection, admiration."
To pretend understanding is to misjudge meaning
As the words come and go.

Rather than a wisp of "love" like fleeting clouds,
great love must consider much time spent together
over time when problems are solved together;
great joys and disappointments encountered as one;
and acceptance of each other’s dark clouds
of inadequacies.

With these, a deep abiding emotional love
is possible--if one is lucky.
For some, this cannot happen.
For some, a prayer for clouds to rain love
upon their parched dry throats,
yet only a drop of solitude falls.

For some, the thirst will remain.
And for some,
only the clouds come and go.

I believe in the spiritual power of love
as well as the physical and emotional power of love.
Without that belief,
we are doomed to a human fate of non-existence,
shelled within the darkest prison of our suffering,
longing egos to connect with the light of our spirits
yet forever a captive of our unawareness ~
