FOR THIS DAY . . . Morning Prayer
Thank you, Creator, for this day
Thank you for my healthy body
Thank you for the good and bad,
Thank you for Mother Earth and flowers
Thank you for the blessings
And with it all that comes my way.
Thank you for all the gifts you give.
Thank you for this day to live.
Thank for my family and friends
Thank you for the sunrises and sunsets
At day’s beginning and end.
Thank you for times happy and sad.
And for whatever life brings to me,
For I know the lessons all come from Thee.
Thank you for the rainbows and showers.
Thank you for opening my eyes to see
All the beauty that You caused to be.
That to me, rain from above.
But most of all, my Heavenly Father,
Thank you for Your love.
Thank you, Creator, for the blessings
And for all my friends and relations:
Judge not that ye be not judged?
Great Spirit, Help remind me through the day that
Life is a series of many opportunities.
It is quiet in the midst of turmoil.
It is in the expectation of our Creator's promise coming true.
Love . . . the one thing no one can take from us . . .
It cannot hurt or be hurt,
That to me, overflow from Your Great Cup of Love.
But most of all, my Heavenly Father,
I am grateful for Your love.
Thank you for this day,
And during it, all that came my way:
The lessons You gave
To help me live another day.
May the Creator bring you sweet dreams;
And may gentle waves of peace
Flow over your shoreline,
May the tides of rest and comfort
Lull you in the presence of
the Great Spirit's cuddle.
Finding fault in others,
proving to oneself that their defects
are not worthy of one's love
is only an attempt in covering up
one's true defects.
Making others less than oneself
is a way of boosting one's self esteem,
making oneself feel better,
feel superior,
feel more deserving
and others less deserving.
It is a coping mechanism for a
love deficiency from others,
a defense for rejection by others,
and a false sense of security for
insecurities within oneself.
No one is perfect,
will ever be perfect.
If one cannot cope with the 'dents' in others,
then one cannot know acceptance,
true love and compassion.
For seeing the imperfections in others
is a way of seeing imperfections in oneself.
Is ever an imperfect cookie tossed in the garbage can?
No, it is eaten and enjoyed for what it is, not its irregularities.
When irregularities become tolerable or tolerated,
love begins.
Love is given a chance to be experienced
for what it is,
not for what others make it,
or want it to be.
Acceptance is born of one's patience and understanding.
Without acceptance, barriers to love rise and shield oneself
from true affection.
Bias and prejudice are the children of judgment.
Dislike is the playground of judgment.
Difference is the food for judgment.
To accept is to understand without placing value upon.
Therefore,
To love is to understand, accept, like and live
without judgment,
without condition,
without restriction,
without boundaries,
without holding back . . .
to be free!
You are all that IS and has EVER BEEN!
I was born to say,
"I love You!"
love should be my only goal,
my only thought in what I do,
and my only inspiration.
For without love,
I am lost,
I am lonely.
Life is also the opportunity to make choices.
It is tenderness enfolding with strength to protect.
It is forgiveness without further thought of the thing forgiven.
It is understanding of human weakness,
with knowledge of the true self shining through.
It is trust in Great Spirit with little thought of self.
It is the one altogether lovely, the light in the mother's eyes,
the glory in the sacrifices,
the quiet assurance of protection.
It is the refusal to see anything but good in our fellow man.
It is the glory that comes with selflessness
and the power that comes with assurance of the Creator's love for His Children.
It is the resistance to the world's lust and greed,
thus becoming a positive law of annihilation to error.
the one thing we can give constantly
and become increasingly rich in the giving.
Love can take no offense,
for it cannot know that which it does not of itself conceive.
for it is the purest reflection of Great Spirit: Good.
It is the one eternal, indestructible force for good.
It is the will of Great Spirit,
preparing, planning, proposing,
always what is best for
all His universe.
True education goes far beyond facts and classrooms.
Education also means experience and faith, courage and understanding
and, most of all, the ability to think and act.
You are always working for yourself.
Your life is for yourself.
Make the best of it!
Time To Begin Again!
Once at the close of every day we come to a stop.
It is the end of another day and each new day offers
a fresh start.
We like to plan a bit about what we shall do with these days
to come.
We would like to peek into the future to see what those days will bring,
but that is not possible.
We can plan, and we can hope, but we cannot know.
We must live a minute at a time as it comes to us,
and this makes things easier.
The idea of beginning anew,
leaving the old mistakes and grief's behind us,
can give us a new outlook.
Although we cannot know what is ahead for us,
hoping and believing that it will be good and
working so as to make it good
are enough.
The hoping, believing, and working are what make up our lives
and the lives of others, as well.
As long as our lives affect other lives,
it is best that we make them as good as we know how
to make them.
We can never act alone, never live alone.
then, why not try to live so that everybody concerned
will be happy?
The day that has passed held some grief
and some joy, too, for all of us.
If we knew more grief than joy, it may have been our own fault.
The doorway to joy is wide open.
All we have to do is make a gesture of good will,
say a kind word,
do a friendly deed.
Perhaps we have held on grimly
when it would have been kinder to let go.
Perhaps we have grudged when we might better have been generous.
Perhaps we have forgotten to be loving
and cherished a darkened thought.
We can leave all the errors behind us
and start each day anew.
IT IS TIME TO BEGIN AGAIN!
Pray not to lessen life's
difficult or troubles,
but for strength to stand the test.
At times you'll fail no matter what,
so just strive to do what's best.
Pray not to seek outside yourself,
to be merely satisfied
or content,
but be fulfilled with lasting love
and all that the Creator meant.
Pray not to understand the
why of failure,
but to march forth without hesitation--
To stand tall, courageous and confident
with the patience to accept frustration.
Pray not to be perfect in all you do
for as a mortal, it's not the way,
but try to do whatever you can
not to repeat the same errors every day.
Pray not for only glamour or what glitters--
false fortune, fine riches or fame.
But to know that when it comes to importance,
be content with a good conscience and name.
Pray not to receive any more
than desired,
for to have is not really to hold;
but, being humble and meager with what you have
to say, "I'm grateful!" is better than gold.
We never travel the same road twice.
Never put our foot in the same river.
Never gaze upon the same sunrise.
Never see the same sunset ever.
We never feel the same moments again
In never the same way.
Never breathe the same breath of air.
Never feel the same wind in the face.
Never feel the same embrace.
We never walk the same footsteps.
Never see the same clouds.
Never hear the same bird song.
Never hear the same roar of the crowds.
We never taste the same sweet berry.
We never experience the same deep love.
Never chew the same bite of food
Never know God’s mysteries from above
Until it’s time . . .
We never see the same light.
Never see the same skies or landscape.
Never see the same rainbow.
Never see all that sees us.
We never touch the same surface the same way.
Never touch the same heart the same way.
Never touch the spirit or soul.
Never can put all the dirt back into the same hole.
We never think about dying until something reminds.
Never try again until our fears are left behind.
Never really cherish life until we are about to lose it.
Never appreciate health until we don’t have it.
We never live forever as humans.
Never live the same second, minute or hour.
Never live totally free.
Never live the same day.
Never live the same way.
Never the same--You and me.
Don't cloud today with things that can't be undone.
You have no more control over yesterday or tomorrow,
than you do the raging of your passions.
Do not quiet these dreams nor quench your desires.
For if you do, your journey is ended.
You have only today to begin anew
and follow your dreams,
for in the end, all we have are our memories.
When the twilight comes to us, let there be no excuses,
no explanations and no regrets!
When the smell of defeat
Tears at my inner core,
And all signs of sweet victory
Seem vanished as the vapor of
fog below rising sun,
Still, I dare march on—
Not as a fallen or
wounded soldier,
But as a brave hero
Who carries the banner
of love
Held high in wounded hands
And charges the hill
Not as a victim on the
battlefield of life,
But as a bold and courageous
victor,
Who steps aside the strife.
Sometimes scarred and bloody wounded,
love never really dies,
But passes on from heart to heart.
And when lonely hearts become
battered and broken,
Love keeps them from falling apart.
So, march on, all you lonely hearts
in battle,
Let love be your victory banner, too!
And whatever you do, do it with love—
For love will carry you through.
