Judge not that ye be not judged?
Finding fault in others,
proving to oneself that their defects
are not worthy of one's love
is only an attempt in covering up
one's true defects.

Making others less than oneself is a way of boosting one's self esteem, making oneself feel better, feel superior, feel more deserving and others less deserving. It is a coping mechanism for a love deficiency from others, a defense for rejection by others, and a false sense of security for insecurities within oneself.

Is ever an imperfect cookie tossed in the garbage can? No, it is eaten and enjoyed for what it is, not its irregularities. When irregularities become tolerable or tolerated, love begins. Love is given a chance to be experienced for what it is, not for what others make it, or want it to be. Acceptance is born of one's patience and understanding. Without acceptance, barriers to love rise and shield oneself from true affection.
